Far Cry 5 is not cross platform supported. XCloud is console gaming, not PC. But when I try play online it tells me I've to login to Ubisoft club thing but when I do it pops up with a notification saying "cannot be accessed while playing remote" ☹️. Brilliant.
The fifth mainline entry in the Ubisoft action-adventure franchise does not support cross-platform play between PlayStation and Xbox, or any other platforms. You can only play co-op with your friends on the same console generation, and you need to use Xbox Game Pass to access it on Xbox. What op was asking was cross launcher The game use Ubisoft servers for online connectivity, regardless where you got the game from on PC, so the answer is yes, they can play together. Steam and Ubisoft connect just launchers on PC, there is no cross platform like console PC.
Far Cry 5 remains platform-specific for multiplayer, even in 2023. There are both technical and business reasons for the absence of crossplay. Rumors about crossplay should be taken with a grain of salt unless officially confirmed. Cross-generational play and cross-progression are valuable features that enhance the gaming experience across devices.
Microsoft could probably do it between Windows and Xbox but they still haven't. Yes they have, state of decay 2 will be cross platform, sea of thieves is cross platform, rocket league and minecraft are crossplatform, even ARC is cross platform. Crossplatform is already a thing, and will be getting bigger and bigger, (except for PS4 users) #4.
I don't think FC5 supports cross save progression. You may only be able to play via PC with Stadia save. Thank you. I needed to look this up the other day. Ubisoft's website has all that information. I don't think Far Cry 5 is one of the ones with cross-progression. Far Cry 6 is, however.
