Download & install the multiplayer, and run it once. Pretty sure you need the assets that are from the multiplayer maps too. When I start up the game multi or single player the game freezes, I can fix it by closing the lid and putting it into sleep mode then opening it back up (playing on laptop btw), so its not a huge problem but its kinda annoying.
