I have never got any good tonfas, but I got a pretty good Epic Police Baton the other night: DMG: 980+600. Force: 2000+1500-2000, I cant remember exactly, but it's rediculous. Durability: 70+30.

Guns are scarce in the beginning in fact i don't think i found one at all in the resort part of the island, which makes sense who needs guns at a beach resort. Once you enter act 2 or the city part you will find looters who carry guns use kill them to get them.
The dev weapons suck in terms of attack power. I have a level 49 zeds demise, and a level 49 fire ax, and my fire ax is more powerful then zeds demise. (and its a white fire ax) the ax does 1071+546 431+189 31+14 0+7 plus it can get the phoenix mod which is imo one of the best, and most badass looking mods. though the fireax does have worse
